a. Compatible Android Versions

This POS app is testedz on a Generic Android Phone O6 Android version 6.0 , Galaxy Tab on Android version 4.2.2 and then on a Galaxy S6 on Android version 7.0. The app is locked to Portrait Orientation.

b. App Structure and Limitations

This POS App is without login function. There are no products categories. Download the DEMO App and check the functions and

c. Printer and Cash Drawer Setup

The POS app only supports 80mm IP (Network/Wifi) Receipt Printers. It is designed to direct communication with an IP Printer. The app also automatically opens the Cash Drawer if the Cash Drawer is connected to the Receipt Printer. The App does not support any other printer interfaces at the moment.

d. Why ONLY support 80mm IP (Network/Wifi) Receipt Printers?

The app needed a wider space than 58mm to accommodate Receipt and Order Docket information. Network/Wifi Receipt Printers are the most stable for Point of Sale Software applications to work with wireless devices.

c. How to Install the App

How to enable installing “UNKOWN APPS” on Android Naugat

Go into Settings on the device
Tap Security
Scroll down to the Device Administration section, and enable Unknown Sources.

How to enable installing “UNKOWN APPS” on Android Oreo

Go to Settings on the device
Then Apps and Notifications
Select Install Unknown Apps

Download the apk file onto the Android Device. Go to downloads ans click to open the file. Follow the instructions.

1. Initial Setup

Go to Configuration Menu and select

Configuration 1. Receipt Setup

Enter business information for the receipt.

Set the preference for automatic Receipt and Order Docket printing at the time of Payment.

Save & Exit

Configuration 2. Tax Setup

Enter the name and Tax Rate

Choose the option for Tax to be included in the price of products or product price plus Tax.

Save & Exit

Configuration 3. Settings

“Purge Records After X number of (Days)” will remove sale records older than the defined number of days.

Use the Password displayed in “About Us” as the Security Key.

Set the number of columns to the width capacity of the device.

“Default Product Taxable” set the default position of this setting when adding a new product.

“Display All Product” make the Products Button Page view/hide disabled products.

“Consolidate Sale Items” makes the multiple products of the same products get consolidated on the Sales Page.

“Enable Basket” enables the selecting products to get collected onto a button before going into the Sales Page.

“Enable Barcode” enables Barcode function.

Save & Exit

Configuration 4. Printer Setup

Setup the IP Receipt Printer on the network. Enter the Printer IP.

Save & Exit.

Return back to Printer Setup and confirm the connectivity.

Configuration 5. Sample Menus

Sample menus are useful to test the app for the first time without making an effort creating products. Just load the sample menu and try out.

Use the Password displayed in “About Us” as the Security Key.

2. Products Display Page (left swipe)

Swipe to the left to go to Products Display page. This is the Products Menu.
Products are displayed on Buttons. Each Button consists of Product name, Selling Price and Stock in hand (optional).
Tap on the Product Button to select the product.

3. How to process a Sale

Simply select the products, go to Sales Page and press Payment to carry out the payment. See this demo video.

Press and Hold an item in Sales Page to make alteration to that item changing the quantity and the price.

Shortcut: Press “Payment” when there are no items on the Sale Page to Open Cash Drawer.

4. Product Setup

Press “Add New Product” on the bottom of the Products Page.

Enter or Scan the Barcode (if the barcode feature is enabled).

Enter Name, Selling Price (Unit Price)

Location is the position of the button placed on the Products Page. It’s a number that organize the products into an assenting order.

There is an option to select a background color to a Product button.

Enabling “Option” makes the Product display with a “*”. These are product options such as Type of Milk or Flavors on a Cafe Menu.

There are Product subject to Tax, there are products except from Tax.

“Enable” make the Product disable/hide, override by “Display All Products” in Settings in Configuration.

5. Inventory Management

Inventory management is located on the same Product Setup page.

“Display Stock” will display available stock on the Product Button to view during sale.

Enter the Purchase Price and the Quantity of the sock to enter.

“Stock Movement” In/Out gives the option to increase or decrease the number of units from the stock.

6. Payments

During the Payment Process, users have the option to choose payment methods from Cash, Card, Free and Other. The app does not support split payments.

Enter a note, could be a customer name or a special note related to the sale.

Payment Page also displays the Receipt Printer and Docket Print options to enable/disable by choice. Default setting is set in “Receipt Setup” in Configuration.

Payment Page also supports manual “Open Cash Drawer” button.

7. Reports (right swipe)

7.1 Cash Flow Report

Display sales records with totals of the types of payment methods. It’s a cash-flow report.
There is an option to select from Day, Week, Month,Year or a Custom Date Range.

7.2 Product Sales Report

Display product sales summary based on most sale value.

There is an option to select from Day, Week, Month,Year or a Custom Date Range.
